Soto Tours Local Federal Agencies

During the first week of 2018, Congressman Darren Soto toured Florida's local Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and Social Security Administration (SSA) offices located in Central Florida. While touring TSA, Representative Soto met with Jerry Henderson, TSA Federal Security Director at the Orlando International Airport. Mr. Henderson briefed the group on the security measures that the Orlando International Airport takes daily to keep the airport community safe. 

Representative Soto also toured the Kissimmee District Office of Social Security Administration (SSA). There he met with staff who help citizens get started with Social Security and Social Security Disability claims. While touring the office, Congressman Soto also met with Chris Graves who has been working with the department for over 30 years. She said that working at the SSA office has been a dream job, filled with dedicated and compassionate staff.

Lastly, Rep. Soto and Rep. Stephanie Murphy (FL-10) welcomed Rep. Jack Bergman (MI-1) to Central Florida. They toured the Lake Nona Veteran Affairs Medical Center and the SimLEARN faicility. Before the tour, the representatives engaged in a productive conversation about increasing bipartisan support for veteran issues that affect their communities.

Congressman Soto will continue to meet with Florida's critical public servants and help these agencies get the federal resources they need to suceed. Representative Soto is impressed with their dedication to Florida's 9th District and looks forward to continue working closely with these offices in the future.
