Soto Announces Nearly $70 Million in Infrastructure Law Funding for Orlando International Airport

The funding comes from the Airport Terminal Program — created by the Infrastructure Law
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Congressman Darren Soto (FL-09) announced nearly $70 million in funding for Orlando International Airport through the FY23 Federal Aviation Administration Airport Terminal Program — created by the Infrastructure Law. Specifically, MCO will receive $49 million to build four additional multiple aircraft ramp system (MARS) gates at Terminal C and $20 million for the Terminal C multi-modal connector pedestrian bridge project.
“We’re proud to help deliver nearly $70 million in grants to Orlando International Airport as part of FAA’s Airport Terminal Program. Thanks to our Infrastructure Law, MCO will improve mobility with this pedestrian bridge project at Terminal C and keep our world-class airport moving forward,” said Congressman Soto. “As we continue seeing the positive effects of laws we passed in the 117th Congress, we must work towards building on our progress for this 118th Congress.”
The funding announced today is in addition to $50 million awarded during FY2022 to help South Terminal C add four gates with eight loading bridges to increase passenger capacity, improve Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant facilities, and achieve LEED certification.
Last year, Congressman Soto wrote two letters of support to the Department of Transportation for these projects. In February of this year, he met with the FAA to continue advocating for them.
