Tour Information

All tickets are provided to constituents on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to a large number of visitors, it is recommended to request your tours at least three-four months in advance in order to process your request in a timely fashion. 

We ask you to please be patient, as there are many tour requests, especially during the Summer seasons. Please visit the Washington, D.C. tourism information page for information on sightseeing and attractions.

To request a White House tour please complete and submit the Tour Request Form below.

To request a Capitol tour, please submit a request through the Capitol Visitor Center website. 

These sites have the following availability:

  • White House: Public tours are available Tuesdays through Saturdays
  • U.S. Capitol Building: Public tours are available on a limited basis

Public tours of the White House are generally available 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday, as well as 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday through Saturday (excluding Federal holidays or unless otherwise noted). All White House tours are free of charge. The White House tour schedule is subject to change based on inclement weather or official use.

White House tours may be impacted due to the construction of the White House State Ballroom in the East Wing. 


Public White House Tour Requests

Public tour requests are scheduled on a first come, first served basis and must be submitted through a Member of Congress and their congressional tour coordinator. Please submit your tour request three months in advance of your requested tour dates.
