Agriculture is a vital industry in Central Florida, and Congressman Soto has stood with local farmers, ranchers, and growers since his first term in Congress. He served on the House Committee on Agriculture during the 115th and 118th Congresses and continues working across the aisle to help agriculture producers feed America, protect food assistance programs, combat citrus greening, support a livestock vaccine bank, secure disaster relief, resolve screwworm and mealybug threats, increase research, invest in new technologies, and more.

Congressman Soto strives to support a strong economy for Central Florida. Throughout his time in Congress, he has successfully helped deliver billions of dollars in federal investments to help our growing district thrive.

Congressman Soto believes that education is fundamental to upward mobility and pursuing the American Dream. Every child must have access to a high-quality K-12 public education, college or technical education, and lifelong learning opportunities.

Federal funding ensures that the future of our nation has a strong start, regardless of economic status, religion, race, or disability. Soto prioritizes well-rounded education over politics, technical pathways over restricted careers, and local decisions over unneeded bureaucracy. 

One of Congressman Soto’s main priorities is protecting Florida’s environment, as he understands how important this is to many Floridians across the state who enjoy going to the beach, kayaking, hiking, and admiring marine life.

As a member of the Energy & Commerce Committee’s Subcommittee on Commerce, Manufacturing, and Trade, Congressman Soto is working on bipartisan legislation to protect consumers.

Congressman Soto is committed to protecting healthcare and fighting cuts to the Affordable Care Act (ACA), Medicare, and Medicaid.

Congressman Soto is a strong advocate for Central Florida veterans and service members. 

During the 117th Congress, he supported the PACT Act to ensure veterans exposed to toxic burn pits get the care they need. Locally, he has worked with the Lake Nona and Kissimmee VA to expand mental health and cardiology services, as well as secure a women’s clinic at the Lake Nona VA. 

Congressman Soto is dedicated to helping our seniors access the Social Security and Medicare benefits they deserve. 

Every morning, thousands of Congressman Soto’s constituents drive out to the coast to make miracles happen. From NASA, SpaceX, and Blue Origin to Port Canaveral’s cruise and fishing industries, the Space Coast is a hub of exploration, innovation, inspiration, and fun.

In 2024, Congressman Soto’s bipartisan Launch Communications Act was passed into law. This bill streamlines FCC licenses needed to launch rockets from U.S. soil into space. This Congress, Rep. Soto is working to pass the SAT Streamlining Act to streamline the satellite application process.
