In a touching and emotional lunch over pizza on Friday, Rep. Darren Soto (D-FL) met with six Dreamers and DACA recipients to talk about what DACA has meant to them and the future of the program.

Congressman Darren Soto hosted a Latino Town Hall on August 24, 2017, to discuss pressing issues affecting the Hispanic community of Central Florida.
Speaking at the Ana G Mendez University, in a room filled to capacity, Rep. Soto addressed constituents on various issues impacting District 09. Organizations co-sponsoring the Town Hall, included: Mi Familia Vota, Hispanic Federation, HOPE Community Center, Iniciativa Acción Puertorriqueña, Latino Justice, Law Offices of Ingrid Morfa, NALEO Educational Fund, Young American Dreamers, and Venezuela 20-20.

Kissimmee, Florida – –U.S. Representatives Stephanie Murphy (FL-07) and Darren Soto (FL-09) will be hosted a roundtable on Zika and other infectious diseases at the University of Central Florida's Burnett School of Biomedical Sciences. During the roundtable, experts discussed the risks posed by these diseases, and what government, academia and the private sector are doing to help keep central Floridians safe.

Families across Florida's 9th District are concerned about their health care, and how Republicans plan to repeal the Affordable Care Act (ACA or Obamacare) will affect them. This past Saturday, Congressman Soto took the initiative to listen to their concerns and brief them on what he is doing to help.
