Soto Announces $1 Million U.S. Department of Justice Grant for the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force

The funds awarded result from a FY26 Community Project Funding request made by Rep. Soto
OSCEOLA COUNTY, FL — Today, Rep. Darren Soto (FL-09) announced that the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office received $1 million from the U.S. Department of Justice to purchase sophisticated software, equipment, and technology for the Central Florida Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
“I am proud to announce that the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force is receiving $1 million from the U.S. Department of Justice as a result of our FY26 Community Project Funding request. This funding is critical to ensuring the task force has the resources to protect Central Florida children from predatory behavior online,” said Rep. Soto. “Over the years, we have worked closely with local law enforcement on securing COPS grants and bringing down federal dollars to help keep our communities safe.”
