WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today Congressman Darren Soto (FL-09) released the following statement after it was announced the Biden Administration plans to release $1.3 billion that was meant to help Puerto Rico rebuild after Hurricane Maria and remove restrictions on another $4.9 billion:
WASHINGTON—U.S. Representatives Stephanie Murphy, Val Demings, and Darren Soto announced today that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has awarded Orange County more than $2.3 million to help ensure that individuals and families living with HIV/AIDS can access medical care and critical support services. The grant was awarded through HHS's Ryan White HIV Emergency Relief Program, which provides direct financial assistance to metropolitan areas that have been most severely affected by the HIV epidemic.
