"This spending bill leaves DREAMers behind, while putting $1.6 billion towards Trump's divisive and unnecessary border wall and hundreds of millions more to deport their parents. Most Americans agree that we need a permanent solution for DREAMers and better technology to secure our borders, not a useless wall.

Florida's only top score was awarded to Congressman Darren Soto (FL-09) for his voting record helping to protect our air, water and open spaces, today and for future generations.

Washington, D.C. Today, U.S. Rep. Darren Soto, along with Resident Commissioners Jenniffer González-Colón (PR) and Stacey Plackett (VI), led a bipartisan letter to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development requesting a 90-day extension of the foreclosure moratorium in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands ahead of the current March 19 deadline. Members also request that upon payment, the amounts owed be rolled into the principal, rather than required to be fully paid in a lump sum.

Today, Representative Mike Bost (R-IL) and Representative Darren Soto (FL-09) introduced bipartisan legislation, the Nutrient Management Technical Service Provider Certification Act, to expand options for agriculture producers to access nutrient management technical assistance. This bill would allow qualified individuals, including Certified Crop Advisors or Certified Agronomists, to act as Technical Service Providers for nutrient management.
