Representative Darren Soto voted "NO" on a Continuing Budget Resolution in order to push Congress to work swiftly to resolve unfinished legislative business. The measure ultimately passed the House by a vote of 235-193 and the Senate by 81-14 on December 7, 2017.

House Republicans have solely focused on passing a Tax Reform bill, at the expense of other important issues. Rep. Soto urges colleagues to come to the negotiating table and address six priorities:

Washington, D.C. – The U.S. House of Representatives passed the Conference Report to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2018 yesterday, which includes four amendments authored and one co-sponsored by freshman Representative Darren Soto. With a vote of 356-70, H.R. 2810 authorizes close to $700 billion for the Department of Defense and defense-related programs, including additional funding for essential readiness of military troops.
