WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the House of Representatives passed Congressman Darren Soto's (D-FL-09) Kissimmee River Wild and Scenic River Act to add the Kissimmee River to the list of potential additions to the National Wild and Scenic Rivers System and direct the Secretary of Interior to complete a study of the Kissimmee River within three years. The bill was co-sponsored by Reps. Vern Buchanan (R-FL-16) and Scott Franklin (R-FL-15).
