"At this point, I think the American people agree that only an independently appointed special counsel can fairly and rigorously investigate whether the Trump campaign violated American law by actively conspiring with Russia to win the 2016 election.

One of the best things about representing Central Florida is the opportunities I get to learn about the amazing, innovative things people in our area are doing. I just toured Costa Farms, Gapway Groves, Agri-Starts, and the University of Florida IFAS Citrus Research and Education Center. The first two have a lot of hard-working growers, and the last two have brilliant scientists. Together, they’re helping feed the country and beautify our gardens.

WASHINGTON, D.C.-U.S. Representative Darren Soto released the following statement on April 7th about the sudden passing of former Osceola County Chairman Frank Attkisson. During his career in public service, Attkisson served in the Florida House of Representatives for 10 years and as the Mayor of Kissimmee.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Darren Soto (FL-09) released the following statement in regards to the decision of the President of the Senate of Puerto Rico, Thomas Rivera Schatz, to rescind the administrative order approved in 2014 allowing transgender senate employees to use the bathroom and wear clothing consistent with their gender identity.

WASHINGTON, D.C.- U.S. Representative Darren Soto (FL-09) is pleased to announce the passage of legislation that will add two additional Hurricane Hunter aircraft to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) fleet. The provision was included in the Weather Research and Forecasting Innovation Act of 2017. Congressman Soto worked closely with Senator Bill Nelson to include the language in the bill (Section 413 - Ensuring the Reliability of Our Hurricane Hunter Aircraft Act).
