Healthcare

Congressman Soto is committed to protecting healthcare and fighting cuts to the Affordable Care Act (ACA), Medicare, and Medicaid.
Florida’s Ninth Congressional District has the second-highest Obamacare enrollment in the nation, with over 271,000 constituents enrolled. Congressman Soto is fighting to reinstate the ACA Premium Tax Credit, as 4.6 million Floridians face skyrocketing costs. As the uninsured rate increases, Floridians on employer-based Medicare Advantage are also seeing rising costs. In addition, Congressman Soto is fighting back against cuts to Medicaid in the One Big Ugly Bill, as over 3,480 people in FL-09 are at risk of losing access.
In addition, Congressman Soto is committed to delivering healthcare for veterans. During the 117th Congress, he proudly supported the PACT Act to ensure veterans exposed to toxic burn pits get the care they need. Locally, he has worked with the Lake Nona and Kissimmee VA to expand mental health and cardiology services, as well as secure a women’s clinic at the Lake Nona VA.
